Coefficient Consulting was established by Simon Siegl in 2005, with a focus on business planning, strategic growth initiatives and exit planning for the wine industry and related businesses.
A selection of completed projects includes facilitating the establishment of tasting rooms in Woodinville for J Bookwalter Wines, Dusted Valley Vintners, Amavi Cellars, Pepper Bridge Winery, Sparkman Cellars, William Church Winery, Market Vineyards and Tsillan Cellars; business plans and financial pro forma development for Vino at the Landing (a Renton wine bar), Finamoré Spirits (a liqueur producer and importer), and Wine World Warehouse (a Seattle wine superstore); and, ownership succession coaching for Woodward Canyon Winery. Although he does not do ongoing government compliance, Simon has helped many start-up wineries through the licensing process with federal and state agencies. His work has also included specific government relations initiatives for individual wineries as well as groups sharing the same concern.
Simon built his consulting practice on experience gained from 17 years in leadership roles with local, regional and national winery associations, including the Washington State Wine Commission and the Washington Wine Institute. In these positions he developed strengths in financial management, government relations, communications and image development, resource development, strategic planning and project management.
